Personal
Background
Bob
was born and educated in Invercargill, where he spent seven years as a
Government survey draughtsman, gaining formal draughting qualifications.
He then changed direction in 1966 to become an advocate for real estate
acquisition by the Crown, working both in Auckland and Wellington. This
marked the start of an ongoing lengthy career in the property business,
which has also included real estate acquisition advocacy for New Zealand's
once largest local authority, and valuing for the Government Valuation
Department. He progressed to become property manager for the same local
authority, went on to a similar post for a major national retail department
store chain and more recently in private practice valuation and property
consultancy.
Bob has therefore
gained unique and extensive experience in the commercial, industrial and
residential fields.
Having retired
from valuation practice at the end of 2010, Bob now concentrates on applying
his skills solely to dispute resolution.
